IEI Announces IMB-Q770 with 3rd Generation Intel® Core Processor Family and Intel® Q77 Express Chipset for High Performance Applications

What is iEZman?
The IEI iEZman application provides an out-of-band KVM function which allows full control of keyboard, mouse and video output viewing on a remote system through hardware-based Intel® Active Management Technology 8.0. Video output on a remote system is always visible even when there is a BSoD (blue screen of death) or missing disk.
iEZman allows a remote user, such as a support person, to remotely control and perform administrative tasks through a graphical user interface in Windows. Intel Ivy Bridge-E 仍然六核心,沒對手何必上八核…




























作為Intel 在消費市場的最高階處理器產品,Sandy Bridge-E系列即將有最後一次的升級動作,也就是Core i7-3970X型號將會發表問世,不過這也是消費者所見的最末一款SNB-E新品,因為Intel將於2013年Q3在高階極限平台上導入22奈米製程的Ivy Bridge架構,讓繼任者「Ivy Bridge-E」接替市場位置,用更高效能表現與更低發熱等特性優勢,為Intel在頂級消費級處理器市場中繼續保持領先局勢。 

據稱,LGA 2011腳位的IVB-E處理器將會與LGA 1155 腳位的IVB一樣使用22nm製程工藝,不過TDP熱功耗設計仍舊保持在130W,也就是說Intel把先進22奈米製程的優勢導入到增加更多電晶體數量,或是推高處理器運作頻率,好帶來更高的運算效能。不過不像對手AMD頻頻推出八核心的消費型產品,Intel早在SNB-E問世時即表態,未來不會推出六核心以上的消費級CPU產品,要上八核請找伺服器版的Xeon CPU,換言之,想要把玩八核心的玩家們可就要失望了,所以如此一來型號規格仍舊是四核心、六核心兩種版本。而伺服器版本的IVB-EP就可能會有最多十個,甚至是十二個核心的型號。這樣看來,就Intel自己評估,在消費市場上並不需要有八核心以上的產品,也許是對手太不給力之故吧…。 

而其他規格方面,L3 cache維持著是每核心配置2.5MB, Sandy Bridge所以頂階六核型號將會配有15MBL3快取;另外,HyperThreading、VT-x/d虛擬化、AES/AVX指令集、Turbo Boost…等等技術均延用於IVB-E處理器,並且也會對應X79晶片組。此外在PCI-E通道部分則會保持支援PCI-E 3.0,並帶來40條PCI-E通道,相信會對多顯卡系統效能有所加強。 

而LGA 2011平台另一個著名特色:四通道的記憶體Controller也會有所改良增進,除預設頻率會從DDR3-1600加速至DDR3-1866外,也可支援單條8GB容量的記憶體型號,為系統帶來更多的記憶體容量。 


目前LGA 2011腳位的IVB-E處理器仍舊未有明確具體的規格、型號曝光,各位玩家就再多等等時間,我們超頻者天堂會持續追蹤相關消息~

Sandy Bridge-E升级IVB-E接班 频率提升功耗不变

英特尔最后一次升级SandyBride-E是推出Core i7-3970X之后,并且SandyBridge-E也将推出历史舞台。转而迎来全新的“IvyBridge-E”。至此,消费类顶级处理器将再攀高峰。但不知出于何种原因,这次升级之后我们并未发现有比较大的改变。


  Ivy Bridge-E将会和主流级的Ivy Bridge一样使用22nm新工艺,但是热设计功耗最高依然停留在130W,因此必然会看到频率的提升,但期待八核心的同学要失望了,到时候还是四核心、六核心两种版本。要知道,服务器版的Ivy Bridge-EP可是会有最多十个,乃至是十二个核心(未定),或许Intel依然认为桌面上用不到那么多核心,但对于有特殊需要的发烧友来说就憋屈了。



  三级缓存仍然是每核心对应2.5MB,总计最多15MB。超线程、睿频加速、VT-x/d虚拟化、AES/AVX指令集这些技术都将得到延续,LGA2011封装接口和X79芯片组也不变(后者应该会有新版本),但会增加Float 16指令集,并且真正支持PCI-E 3.0,最多40条通道,Sandy Bridge并有4条PCI-E 2.0/DMI 2.0。


  四通道内存控制器也会有不少增强,比如频率从1600MHz提升至1866MHz,Ranks数量从2个增加到4个,单条容量从4GB翻番到8GB(最大32GB),不过每个通道还是只能有一条内存。


  至于具体的型号、频率,暂时还未确定,而且上述规格不排除发生变化的可能性。等年底的样品看吧。

Themis Introduces NanoSWITCH Small Form Factor Network Device

The NanoSWITCH device is targeted at a variety of ruggedized, distributed architecture, networked applications including oil and gas exploration and production, commercial and military airborne and ground vehicle integration, and command and control. The NanoSWITCH device provides ten Gigabit Ethernet ports that can operate at reduced rates of 10 and 100 Mbits and supports managed L2 and L3 functions. The NanoSWITCH device also includes a packet-processing engine along with a TCAM based policy function for secure ingress egress access control. The NanoSWITCH device supports sophisticated IPV4 and IPV6 routing and tunneling, and the latest L2 and L3 VPN services following IETF (VRF, RFC2547), IEEE (802.1ad, 802.1ag) and DSL Forum standards (Q-in-Q), including OAM support for IEEE and RTU extensions.


 


 


 


NanoSWITCH utilizes sophisticated traffic policies including metering, counting, statistics, scheduling and shaping for optimizing QoS for converged data, voice and video traffic. The switch supports sFlow, IPFix and remote port analysis for network traffic monitoring and management. Management of the switch is accomplished through a serial port or through an Ethernet port.


 


 


 


In addition to the switch function, the NanoSWITCH device includes an optional X86 single-board computer (SBC) that can be installed to configure the NanoSWITCH to provide gateway functionality between MIL-STD-1553, CAN 2.0, USB and RS-232 buses and the Gigabit Ethernet backbone. The SBC can also function as a distributed architecture system manager for devices connected to the switch and can be accessed through either a serial port or an included monitor/keyboard/mouse connector. Firewall software may be hosted on the SBC. The NanoSWITCH device is packaged in a compact, 7in x 10in x 1.5in water resistant aluminum enclosure. All port functions are accessed via standard sealed circular-MIL miniature connectors, available from multiple suppliers. Caps and retention lanyards are optionally available, but are not required for moisture sealing.

Adlink – PC/104-Plus and EPIC SBCs with latest Intel Atom E600T processors

Adlink has released its latest Ampro Extreme Rugged CoreModule 720 PC/104-Plus single board computer (SBC) with the Intel Atom processor E600T Series and Industrial ReadyBoard 910 EPIC SBC with 2nd-generation Intel Core i7/i5/i3 and Intel Celeron processors. Both SBCs feature onboard solid state drives (SSD) and provide a compact form factor suitable for applications in harsh environments such as transportation, self-service, digital signage, and video surveillance.

Safinah One UGM Juarai Kontes Robot Kapal Tak Berawak

 YOGYAKARTA - Robot kapal tanpa awak karya mahasiswa Universitas Gadjah mada (UGM) berhasil meraih juara II kategori Autonomous dalam Kontes Kapal Cepat Tak Berawak Nasional (KKCTBN)2012 yang diselenggarakan Universitas Diponegoro (Undip) di Pantai Kartini, Jepara, 30 Oktober lalu. Robot kapal yang diberi nama Safinah One tersebut sengaja dirancang untuk dapat digunakan memantau serta menjaga pertahanan dan keamanan wilayah perairan laut Indonesia.

Adalah mahasiswa Jurusan Teknik Mesin Fakultas Teknik yakni Malik Khidir, Tito Garry Surya, Erwhin Irmawan, Iqro Kurniawan dan mahasiswa Jurusan Elektronika dan Instrumentasi FMIPA yakni Ardi Wiranata, Singgih Adhi Susila, Ardi Wiranata, M Irfan Riyadi, dan Febry Mulia Wardhana yang merancang robot kapal berwarna kuning ini.

"Idenya, kami ingin membuat robot yang bisa dipakai sebagai media untuk mengawasi wilayah laut Indoensia, terutama wilayah perbatasan dengan maksud mampu menggantikan prajurit yang berpatroli. Kendala utama kami ialah UGM tidak memiliki jurusan atau prodi perkapalan, jadi kami benar-benar otodidak melalui internet," ujar Ketua Tim Robot Malik Khidir, di Lembah UGM, Senin (5/11/2012).

Diakui Malik, selain otodidak, kapal robot pertama buatan tim UGM tersebut dibuat dari bahan-bahan bekas, sehingga dalam proses pembuatannya tidak memerlukan biaya banyak. Tim Malik hanya menghabiskan dana sekira Rp10juta untuk pembuatan kapal robot tersebut.

"Ada beberapa bahan yang harus kami impor dan itu yang mahal. sebut saja elektronik speed control dan single board computer, itulah biaya terbesar yang kami keluarkan, sisanya kami memanfaatkan bahan yang bisa ditemukan. Berat total robot kapal kami mencapai 11kg," imbuhnya.

Dan sebagai kapal pengintai, robot kapal tersebut didesain memiliki dua kamera waterproof dengan jarak pandang 1 km. Hasil monitor kamera lalu dikirim ke single board computer yang dipasang di badan kapal. Setelah itu, hasil monitor diteruskan ke komputer induk yang ada di dermaga melalui sistem telemetri. Robot kapal ini sendiri digerakkan dengan tenaga tiga baterai Litium Polimer berkekuatan 12 volt.

"Baterai ini mampu menggerakkan robot kapal kami dengan kecepatan 30km/jam. Robot pun dapat dijalankan dengan du amenu yaitu dengan maupun tanpa remote control," tuturnya.

Ditambahkan Tito Garry, rangka robot Safina One tersusun dari fiber yang memanfaatkan fiber sisa dari mobil Semar UGM. Kemenangan robot kapal ini pun berbuah manis. Tito mengungkap, saat ini mereka tengah menjajagi kerjasama dengan TNI AL. Rencananya, robot kapal tersebut akan dimodifikasi dengan melakukan sejumlah penambahan komponen dan diharapkan dapat menjangkau seluruh wilayah pantai Indonesia.

"Ke depan akan kami tambahkan teropong, radar dan menggunakan bahan bakar bensin atau solar. Harapan kami, dengan memiliki kekuatan ekstra, robot kapal ini bisa dioperasikan dengan jangkau tempuh hingga 30km," ujarnya.

Selanjutnya, robot kapal yang telah dimodifikasi tersebut juga akan diikutkan dalam kontes robot internasional yang akan digelar Juli 2013 mendatang di Virginia, Amerika Serikat (AS).(Ratih Keswara/Koran SI/rfa)
